In the context of climate change, the threat to food production in food-insecure nations looms large. Climate change will reduce crop, livestock, and fisheries productivity and disrupt the livelihoods of millions of rural people who depend on agriculture, reducing food availability. However, sustainable agriculture can be part of the solution. At Ntakye, we are cognizant of the climate change effects on livestock productivity and crop health and yield. Ntakye is working behind the scenes to better prepare for these climate risks through various measures such as large-scale rainwater harvesting and collection as well as irrigating crops during the dry periods. Although we still utilize fossil fuel-powered engines to run some of our machinery, we are committed to changing this in the future and adopting cleaner systems such as solar and wind energy options
