In the context of energy, current food systems heavily rely on fossil fuels, accounting for about 30% of global energy consumption and over 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. Energy is crucial for food security and nutrition. We are providing farmers in East Africa with innovative and clean energy solutions like we have with our battery operated and solar-integrated knapsack sprayers. Ntakye is also internally pushing to slowly become 100% green in the years to come and has installed solar PV capacity at both welfare, accommodation, and production facility as well as biogas systems to encourage and promote both access to clean energy and clean cooking for staff within its internal operational processes.
